The artwork is a 130-meter-long aluminum skeleton of an imaginary sea serpent.
It was designed by Chinese artist Huang Yong Ping and installed in 2012 as part of an art exhibition.
The sculpture is located in the intertidal zone; at low tide, the entire skeleton is visible, while at high tide, parts disappear under water, creating a changing visual effect.
