We have released 'NOLA RAIN. The New Orleans Banksy Story'.This book offers an unprecedented, comprehensive overview of Banksy's elusive time (August 2008) in New Orleans, focusing on the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and thesubsequent fate of his 17 art pieces he left behind. The author, a self-proclaimed caretaker of Banksy's Umbrella Girl for over a decade, spent countless hours researching, making calls, and pursuing leads to compile this collection of often-hearsay accounts and photographs.Banksy's works in New Orleans, including the Umbrella Girl, are widely believed to be a commentary on the devastation caused by Katrina in 2005 and the government's response. The author's role as caretaker involved continuous maintenance and protection of the Umbrella Girl from various forms of vandalism, providing a unique vantage point toconnect with diverse individuals in New Orleans. The book acknowledges the difficulty in verifying information due to Banksy's mysterious nature and emphasizes that theincluded images are not definitive proof of attribution or even of Banksy's existence.Ultimately, the aim is to provide an enjoyable and insightful exploration into the world of Banksy's New Orleans legacy in the context of the city's post-Katrina recovery, while paying tribute to the disaster's 20 year anniversary.

Maine Mural Festival Mashup

Got the invite for this awesome jam up in Portland ME, from the homie, TheColorWizard. We started at like 25 but grew to 33 artists on 3 massive walls along a bike path in Portland, coordinated with the city/parks and rec. It was sooooo good. Managed to rock my portions over 2 very long very fun days, painting til 1am both nights.

Had an absolute blast and am excited for next year.

Lmk what you like / dont like or if u have any questions! There's a longer video of all the artists work on TheColorWizards insta. Killer pieces all around.

I am the calligraphy / calligraffiti dude on the left (Esotericalligraffiti), had 3 good homies in between with Merkaveli, Eskae, and Capes, and collabotated with Brandalizm on the far right. We had a wild theme for the wall that evolved into a pretty awesome wall.

ASP 02 S9 TransArtSpots is a non-profit and 100% community-driven project. We run it because we love to discover art and share it with others. The app does not contain any ads and we do not get money from this project at all. That's why we ask for your help!

Wanna help spread the word about the App?

It would be great if you can tell your friends about ArtSpots, or if you run a website or blog, share the news and post a page. If you are active on social media, please also spread the word among your friends - art needs a space without commerce and it should be us, who count, not money and some shareholders. Thank you!

If you need pictures and stuff, here is the download to a media package, containing screens of the app, the image teaser and a short description you can freely use.

See you in ArtSpots.
