Hello everyone, I am not a street artist but more of a tech guy. I was thinking of scanning great street art pieces to make 3d models that could be sold as crypto art.
I would like to split the income (if any) with the artist but I am not sure how to proceed. I was thinking of asking around but what can I do if I don't find him or I am not able to get in touch? It feels unethical to sell something someone created without their permission....

As title says, I need walls. Because of my job, I can do only legal pieces. (Company associated with local government, and will be a massive drama if I am caught)
What I’ve tried and looked at so far: Legal sites. Have a few of those in a city but it is one of two scenarios. It either has some really nice pieces, and my arm won’t raise to paint over them, or the site will get trashed and everything capped by kids within a fortnight. And it can take me more then one weekend to finish.

I've volunteered to do a mural and I just wanted to know which materials everyone else has been using. I need spray paints and regular paints that will survive the fluctuating weather conditions of Colorado, resist UV fading, etc.

I have this light up sign I got from my homies at the local bodega. I want to use it to create a piece of street art, but need it to light up without being able to plug it into an outlet. At Jackson Square in New Orleans there are dozens of artists at any given time selling their (really good) local art. I have a few pieces from here that weren't expensive and that I love.

Looks like the book has been re-issues. I love his artwork, but I really love any of his artwork tied to DOOM and Hip Hop related themes. I've only come across a handful of images of the art inside, but not enough to give me a vibe on if it is heavy on the DOOM / Hip Hop tip. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I am a muralist and a Realtor in San Antonio, Texas, so I consider myself an independent contractor. I usually do small street art murals & I normally charge around $500-$2000 for them. I was just recently asked to create a larger mural for a National Park. The budget is around 26k for the work, but I don't know how to go about getting a W9 to be able to accept payment and make sure I pay my taxes? What I discovered:Some flower frame (as I called them) disappeared literally 30 mins after, some stayed for months.I did not want to damage any wall/trees so I was super careful !I did not become a success.Street art with flower is tough! I watched a video on the founder of Obey a while back, and one of the ways he got his brand known was by wheatpasting the logo everywhere. I'm considering wheatpasting the mascot of my brand everywhere, with the insta handle to my brand on it.

I'm hoping someone on here can give me advice. I am in possession of a very large Shepard Fairey wheat paste. It was put up in Denver when he was doing the a mural for Crush Walls in 2018. I got it from a business owner who was remodeling when it was put up and happened to be taking down the plywood the next day. It's been sitting in my house for a few years and now I'm moving and taking it with me in a U-haul.

I'm painting a mural at an animal shelter. It is a corridor, nine metres long. They first showed me the space on october 16, I didnt expect such a huge wall. I sketched something on it right away and started painting the wall 6 days later (had to sand the wall a bit and put down primer). Now after 8 more days I have the full colour background, sketched the details in with chalk and am going in with the details, but it will take a while. It is a birds eye view of the river basin with the shelter

We are finishing up on a <a href="/aguycalledvictor.com/images/space.jpg">wall </a>that runs along the back of my landlord's property in Encinitas, and we were curious to see if there'd be any interest amongst folks to come put something up. We're not looking for an ocean mural with suns and dolphins, but rather some cool graffiti/art. 1) tags(basic writing of a name/word usually with a pen)
2) throw up/flow(the name/word is colorful this time, the letters usually look puffy or like bubbles)
3) fresco(I found that it’s when the word becomes the masterpiece and they add tons of detail and elements to it so it’s not just a simple word/name anymore)
Is this correct? Please if it’s not(even in the slightest way), help me :)

Wanting to adapt and build a new art style, I only just noticed that tattoo art style and graffiti kinda share some styles and main difference is of course the medium that the art is drawn on.
Just wanna hear from other people what differences you see between tattoo and graffiti in general.

So basically I’m doing my school project on street art in Berlin. And these past few days I started writing about the different techniques: stencil art, graffiti, etc.
But I’m confused. When it comes tu murals, I see a lot of artworks that look like they’ve been made without any special techniques. Just with the spray can and without stencils for example. What would that be called? Is it also a different technique?
Please help me out I’ve asked all my art teachers and they don’t have a clue

Hey all,
I'll be doing my first ever wall art mural outdoors. I mainly paint on canvas, so I was wondering what advice I can get!
Best acrylic paint to buy? How much should I get for a 8x16 wall?
Best spray paint to buy?
Any tips that you'd give a novice to not mess up a mural!

I’ve seen some videos of artists doing something of a “wallpaper” method with paper cutouts and some sort of liquid adhesive that seems similar to modgepodge brushed on and adheres the image to any surface, I’m really interested in this method and the material used? If you guys know what this is called and what kind of materials are used (type of paper, adhesive) it would be great to hear. Kinda looking into getting into this that’s why I ask. Thank you for any responses. I'm trying to remember a certain street artist that I really liked, I found him in a book "Grafitti art from 5 continents" I think that was the name of it. He had a cool style. Alot of the pictures had tribes people and tribeswomen, kind of cartoony but definitely a distinct style.
