Prudencia Ayala (28 April 1885 – 11 July 1936) was an indigenous Salvadoran writer, social activist, and pioneer campaigner for women's rights in El Salvador, and the first woman to run for president in Latin America. A true icon and an inspiration for any woman and human being with a real commitment to women's rights.
