An open air streetart gallery in Novi Sad, Serbia.

Part of Avijatičarski settlement has been turned into a large outdoor street art gallery, where you can see the works of local muralists, but also artists from Russia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Belarus, Bosnia, Croatia, Belgrade, as well as children who live there, who participated in the workshop. The works of some street artists from around the world and the region, well-known Novi Sad artists who rarely paint murals are also expected, and there is also an idea with professors from the art school and the academy of arts to have their pupils and students paint some of the walls.

The "curator" of the gallery is Shpira, with the selfless help of Milica Mladjenović, Igor, Neda and all the neighbors who live in those buildings.

"Actually, Aviation was the mecca of that whole 'graffiti culture' when we started in 1998. Back then there wasn't much graffiti in the city and people kept coming here to look at it. Now we're bringing that 'old glory' back to the place where it all started."

ASP 02 S9 TransArtSpots is a non-profit and 100% community-driven project. We run it because we love to discover art and share it with others. The app does not contain any ads and we do not get money from this project at all. That's why we ask for your help!

Wanna help spread the word about the App?

It would be great if you can tell your friends about ArtSpots, or if you run a website or blog, share the news and post a page. If you are active on social media, please also spread the word among your friends - art needs a space without commerce and it should be us, who count, not money and some shareholders. Thank you!

If you need pictures and stuff, here is the download to a media package, containing screens of the app, the image teaser and a short description you can freely use.

See you in ArtSpots.
